3,4 Dimethylmethcathinone or ‘3,4-DMMC’ as it is known on the street is the newest member of a long list of recreational drugs, which include methamphetamine, crystal meth, and ecstasy. Like other members of this family, 3,4-DMMC is highly addictive, has numerous side effects, and is well known to be fatal when used irresponsibly. The short-term and potentially deadly effects of it can be compared to its relatives, amphetamines. However, despite all of its dangerous qualities, the effects of 3,4 dimethylmethcathinone on health are not really known.
3,4 DMMC, has been used in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease, and also other nervous system disorders for the last 60 years. For patients suffering from Parkinsons’ disease, this drug controls tremors, loss of balance, stiffness of muscles, and spasticity. Unfortunately for many individuals, this drug has also been associated with serious side effects, including liver damage, cardiac arrhythmias, and even death. Recently, some disturbing cases have been reported in which patients who have taken this drug have become comatose, died from lack of oxygen while in the hospital, and in extreme cases have overdosed on this drug, resulting in sudden death (1).
The reason behind the overdose is due to the higher than normal dosage of the drug, which can be fatal if the patient is not given the proper dosage. 3 4 DMMC was initially used to treat poor memory and other cognitive problems related to movement and cognitive function. When patients were given high dosages, they suffered from severe side effects, which included seizures and even comatose. Due to these alarming symptoms, doctors were not sure if the dosages needed to be reduced or halted. This led to patients being unnecessarily exposed to this drug, which caused them much more harm than good.
Effects on the heart
It is not known if the drug affects heart cells in any significant way although preliminary results seem to suggest that it could. It is, however, believed that it does affect the serotonin system in the brain, which has been related to hallucinations and anxiety in users. It is believed that the drug has effects similar to those of ecstasy and that it could act on the central nervous system. These side effects would explain the low success rate of past attempts at producing a pharmaceutical cure for this problem.
Short term side effects
There are many short-term side effects which have been reported by users of this drug. The commonest ones are vomiting, dizziness, stomach pain, cold extremities, and increased sensitivity to light. While these are fairly common, it is unclear how these reactions are related to any real cause and whether they are related at all to the drug or are simply the result of a more severe reaction to the other ingredients contained in the bottle which also contain amphetamines (2).
Some people have become allergic to the ingredients used in this product and find they develop hives, a rash, skin irritation, dizziness, and chest pain. More commonly people experience this effect from taking the drug in the early morning hours or when they are going through a large amount of physical change. This can be dangerous as people who take stimulants at these times have been known to have accidents in the car on the way home or when getting into a building. It is important to make sure that you do not take the drug while under any of these circumstances.
The other side effects experienced from taking this drug are less serious and do not usually last very long. Some people will notice that they feel a slight tingly sensation in their hands and that their heart rate may increase slightly. Rarely this effect can cause unconsciousness or death. The symptoms seem to disappear once the medication has been taken however, It is possible that 3,4 Dimethylmethcathinone is responsible for some of these symptoms.
Because these symptoms only occur in rare instances, it is not recommended that anyone take the drug under any circumstances. If you have a medical condition, it is best to seek medical attention before taking any medications. Also, it is important to remember that everyone’s bodies are different and react differently to medications. You may experience no symptoms at all or very mild ones. So, if you have never experienced any of the above symptoms it is best to consult with your doctor to see if it is something you may have to deal with.
3,4 DMMC has been used in the pharmaceutical industry for many years, however, there are many other types of products that are also used in the manufacturing of inhalable drug products. Many of them contain toxins that can cause side effects and are extremely dangerous for the health of those using them. Not only does this include respiratory problems, but can also affect things such as liver disease, cancer, and depression. It is important to make sure that if you are taking any type of medication that it is prescribed by your physician and not obtained through any type of mistreatment.
If you are considering purchasing any type of medication at your local pharmacy or over the Internet be sure to research all available products before taking any of them. We strongly recommend the use of 3,4 DMMC for the use of research purposes. You should also be aware that many individuals have been injured due to the improper use of this product so avoid the use of the drug in an inappropriate manner.
