2-Aminotetralin belongs to the stimulant class and also known as 2-AT, 1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalen-2-amine, THN. It has a chemical structure which consist of a tetralin group which is combined with an amine.
2-AT is an inflexible analogue of phenylisobutylamine and completely fill in for d-amphetamine in rodent separation tests, despite the fact that at one eighth the potency. It has been appeared to hinder the reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine, and likely prompts their release also. It is additionally prone to follow up on dopamine by virtue of its full replacement of d-amphetamine in rat studies. 2-AT likely induces the release of serotonin and norepin-related neurotransmitters.
