3-FMA, 3-Fluoromethamphetamine
The drug 3-Fluoromethamphetamine is a stimulant used in the amphetamine class. It can be sold as a designer drug online.
Also referred to as 3-FMA, this substance is a novel fluorinated analogue of anamphetamine. It has an entactogenic and stimulant effect when administered. After the introduction of 3-FEA, it became a designer drug. This new drug was structurally related to other fluorinated analogues of anamphetamines, such as 2-FMA, 3-FA, and 4-FA.
Although its effects on humans are similar to those of 3-FA, the exact effects of 3-FMA on different organs and tissues are still unknown. Early reports suggest that it is a potent triple monoamine releaser that can produce a short-lived balance of both stimulant and entactogenic effects.
Although it has a short history of recreational use, 3-FMA has not been sold on the streets. It was recently made available through the grey market, which is a type of online marketplace that sells research chemicals. The appearance of this drug and 3-FEA on the market comes as authorities step up their efforts against the use of 4-FA, which is also a fluorinated analogue of anamphetamine.
Due to its powerful psychostimulant effect, it is strongly recommended that users use caution when it comes to the use of 3-FMA. Also, it is possible that this substance could have toxic properties.
Chemistry
3-fluoromethamphetamine, also known as 3-FMA, is a synthetic version of the amphetamine family. The core of the amphetamines contains a phenethylamine ring bound to an amino acid. These molecules are then converted to alpha-methylphenethylamines.
Although it is a 3-position fluorinated analog of methamphetamine, it is speculated that it can behave differently in the manner of entactogenic stimulants. It is also a positional isomer of 2-FMA and 4-FMA.
Pharmacology
Although it has not been studied properly, it is widely believed that 3-FMA is a triple-reproducing agent of amphetamines. It is also capable of acting similarly to other drugs by releasing a combination of serotonin, dopamine, AND norepinephrine.
The toxicological and physiological properties of this compound has not been analyzed. Usage of this Chemical should be for research and forensic purposes only.
