Here is a cathinone of the stimulant family, that is weaker than 4-MEC. 3-Methylecathinone (hydrochloride) is a substituted cathinone that may be abused. Its biological characteristics are not yet clarified. 3-Methylecathinone is regulated in the United States as a Schedule I compound.
The agonistic effect of 3-MEC is is considered as an agonistic action on the monoamine transporters. It inhibits the reuptake of dopamine by enhancing post-synaptic neuron firing. Its atypical effect is a result of its association with high potency. Its antagonistic effect is a blocker for the DA and NA transporters. Its psychoactive effect makes it desirable in many cases.
While the majority of researchers suggest that this compound is safe for human consumption, there is one concern. This chemical has an adverse effect on the brain. It can cause adverse effects on the nervous system. Its agonistic effect on the receptorset is responsible for the increased afvuren of postsynaptic neurons. Moreover, the agonistic activity of 3-MEC in humans is not compatible with that of mice.
