A type of stimulant drug known as 4-Chlorine-4-methylaminorex (4C-4-MAR) was first synthesized in 1960 by the pharmaceutical company McNeil Laboratories. It has similar effects to methamphetamine but has a longer duration.A new drug known as 4C-MAR or 4-methylaminorex is an analogue of the active ingredient in dextroamphetamine. It has similar effects to methamphetamine. This drug belongs to the same class of drugs as 2-amino-5-aryloxazolines.
Originally, aminorex was used as a weight loss aid. It was eventually taken off the market due to the abuse and dependence that it caused. 4C-MAR is also associated with the release of cholacatemines.
The toxicological and physiological properties of this compound has not been analyzed. Usage of this Chemical should be for research and forensic purposes only.
