ADB-Butinaca, ADBB
ADB Butinaca is a designer drug that can be used in synthetic cannabis products. Originally developed by Pfizer as an analgesic, it can also be used as a potent antagonist of the CB1 receptor.
Originally marketed under the name of “ADB-BINACA,” this drug is now referred to as “ADB-BUTINACA” to avoid confusion with the active ingredient, which is a benzyl compound. This drug is a powerful CB1 antagonist with an EC50 of over 6 nM.
It is hard to identify the presence of the drug known as “ADB-BUTINACA” without undergoing analytical testing. This substance usually appears as a beige or yellow powder and can be easily blended with other street drugs. Since other components can also mask the identities of the drug, it is difficult to identify it.
A wide variety of synthetic cannabinoids, such as “ADB-BUTINACA,” can be found in various forms, such as in plant material or in blotter paper. These can also be used orally or vaped. When users inject the drug, they don’t report using it until after using it.
