HDMP-28, which is also known as methylnaphthidate is an analytical reference compound that belongs in the amphetamine class. HDMP-28 is a substance that mimics the effects of the commonly used ADHD drug methylphenidate. It can produce a mild but stimulating effect when administered. Like its other members of the amphetamine class, methylnaphthidates are believed to act as monoamine reuptake inhibitors. However, unlike its phenidate counterparts, it exhibits distinct subjective effects. Although little is known about methylnaphthidate’s pharmacological properties, its toxicity has been observed. This drug is commonly used as a grey-area study chemical.
Chemistry

Pharmacology
It is believed that methylnaphthidate elevates the levels of norepinephrine, serotonin, and dopamine in the brain by binding to the proteins that are responsible for blocking these neurotransmitters. This impairs the processes that trigger these chemicals’ release.
