N-isopropylbenzylamine has been shown to have various industrial applications, such as the preparation of organic compounds and the synthesis of alcohol. It has also been used as a diluent and a substitute for methamphetamine. This isomer of Methadone has the same chemical formula and the same physical properties as its counterpart. It exhibits the same physical properties as its hydrochloride salts.
Despite its name, it is not clear to users that it’s a substitute for drugs such as methamphetamine. Also, its varying melting points make it more easily detectable. It is not currently considered a controlled substance in any other country. However, anecdotal reports suggest that it could be linked to a variety of side effects.
N-isopropylbenzylamine is not known to be toxic. However, other cutting agents such as methylbenzylamine and ethylbenzene have been found to be used for the same purpose.
