Methoxphenidine is a dissociative compound under the diarylethylamine family. It was widely used as a treatment for neurotoxic injury. As an homeomorph of MK-801 and arylcyclohexylamines, it can act as an NMDA receptor channel blocker which can lead to neuroprotective and dissociative effects. As an analog of diphenidine, it features a methoxy group at the two positions of a phenyl group.
The toxicological and physiological properties of this compound have not been analyzed. Usage of this Chemical should be for research and forensic purposes only.
