Sildenafil, Viagra
Sildenafil, which is also known as Viagra, is a medication used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension and erectile dysfunction. It can be taken by mouth or injected into a vein.
Erectile dysfunction is commonly treated with the use of Sildenafil. However, it can also cause other serious side effects such as vision problems, frequent urination, and hearing loss. This drug should not be taken by people with diabetes or heart conditions. Sildenafil works by blocking the phosphodiesterase 5 enzyme, which helps in the breakdown of cyclic cGMP in the penis. It can also improve blood flow to the lungs.
The drug was first discovered in 1989 by Pfizer while the company was looking for a way to improve the quality of life for people with heart-related chest pain.
After the patents for its active ingredient expired, generic versions of Sildenafil became available. In the UK, it is available over the counter.
Not much is known about the pharmacological and toxicological properties of Sildenafil. Usage of this Chemical should be for research and forensic purposes only.
WARNING This product is not for human or veterinary use.
