2C-B-BZP is a benzylpiperazine analog of 2C-B. The two compounds share many similarities, but differ in pharmacological properties and are intended for forensic and research applications. It is not yet known whether this compound can treat depression and anxiety. However, it is thought that the potential to reduce agitation in patients is considerable.
This compound is a psychoactive drug and research chemical of the piperazine chemical class. It can produce stimulant effects that are similar to those of benzylpiperazine (BZP). 2C-B-BZP is a phenethylamine analogue that does not produce psychedelic effects. It is a phenylpiperazine base that substitutes for DOM in rats. It is a benzylpiperazine base with a ring-substitution pattern that mimics the phenethylamine 2C.B.
It is a synthetic benzyl piperazine that has specific effects on mood states and emotional processing. In this regard, it is classified as an entactogenic substance, meaning that it produces an open state of mind. Other characteristics of entactogenic substances are increased self-awareness, elevated sensory perception, and an enhanced prosocial effect.
