AB-001, also known as JWH 018 adamantyl analog, SGT-269, is an analytical reference standard compound that is categorized as a synthetic cannabinoid. AB-001 is structurally related to compounds like AM-1248 which are considered to be potent cannabinoid agonists considering their high selectivity for the CB2 over CB1. AB-001 has EC50 values of 35 nM and 48 nM for CB1 and CB2 receptors respectively.
It is known to be a potent analogue of the CB2 analogues AM-1248 and 1-(tetrahydropyran-4-ylmethyl). The first published study revealed that AB-001 is a full agonist of CB1 and CB2. It exhibits weak cannabimimetic effects when used at doses of up to 30 milligrams per kilogram.
The toxicological and physiological properties of this compound has not been analyzed. Usage of this Chemical should be for research and forensic purposes only.
