Aleph, DOT, 2,5-dimethoxy-4-methylthioamphetamine
The drug known as aleph, which is a hallucinogenic substance, is a derivative of the phenethylamine class. It can be used as an entheogen. Alexander Shulgin first synthesized it in his book PiHKAL. According to him, the effects of this drug can last for up to 8 hours.
It has weak inhibition against the MAO-A receptor when compared to other drugs such as amphetamine and 4-methylthioamphetamine. The higher the number, the stronger the inhibitor.
