2-Fluoromethcathinone (hydrochloride) is an isomer of 4-FMC, with fluorine in the 2-position of the phenyl group instead of the 4-position. Methyl cathinone, including 4-fluoromethyl cathinone (4-FMC), is a brand-name drug with psychoactive properties found in bath salts, prescriptions and plant foods. Its toxicological and physiological characteristics have not been analyzed yet. This product is used for forensic applications.
2-FMC is a ring-halogenated derivative of methcathinone. These compounds are diverse derivatives of cathinone. Methcathinones are a type of amphetamine with a pyrrolidine ring, which inhibits monoamine uptake.
