Allylescaline, 4-allyloxy-3,5-dimethoxyphenethylamine
Allylescaline is a relatively unknown psychedelic drug that is closely related to mescaline. It was first synthesized in 1972 by Leminger and was later synthesized by Shulgin. The dosage range for this drug is 20 to 35 mg.
It is known to produce an entactogenic warmth and a feeling of flowing energy. There is currently not enough data available regarding the drug’s pharmacological properties and its effects.
It is structurally similar to mescaline and is also known to have a similar effect to escaline and methallylescaline.
In his book, Alexander Shulgin described the effects of allylescaline. He stated that it can be taken orally with a dosage of 20 to 35 mg. He also noted that the drug’s duration of action can last for up to 12 hours.
Chemistry
Allylescaline is a substituted phenethylamine that features a phenyl ring bound to an NH2 group. It is also an allyloxy group with two methoxy functional groups. The two groups, which are respectively attached to carbons R3, R5 and R4, are used to produce a variety of compounds.
Also referred to as 4-allyloxy-3,5-diethylphenethylamine, allylescaline is a research compound that is not widely known. The IUPAC name for this compound is 4-Allyloxy-3,5-Diethoxyphenethylamine. It has a molecular weight of around 231 kg/mol and an average mass of around 237.294998 Da.
Pharmacology
Allylescaline is a 5-HT2A partial agonist. It is believed that the effects of this drug can be triggered by the interactions between it and the 5-HT2A receptors. However, the exact mechanism by which these interactions can lead to the psychedelic experience is still unclear.
It is a 4O-allyl homolog of the serotonin receptor. It has a high potency and is reported to have an active dose of around 20-40 mg. This is compared to the 300-400 mg of mescaline.
It is relatively rare for people to use allylescaline. There is currently a lack of data regarding its pharmacological properties and toxicity. The effects of this drug were first described in Alexander Shulgin’s book “PIHKAL: A Chemical Love Story.”
Not much is known about the pharmacological and toxicological properties of 6-APB. Usage of this Chemical should be for research and forensic purposes only.
