Eutylone, which also known as bk-EBDB, β-keto-Ethylbenzodioxolylbutanamine, N-Ethylbutylone, β-Keto-1,3-benzodioxolyl-N-ethylbutanamine is an analytical reference compound under the cathinone class. In the United States, eutylone is controlled as a Schedule I compound. This substance is a class of designer drugs that was developed during the 1960s. It has been claimed that it can produce psychoactive effects and is being sold as a designer drug 2019. Although eutylone and MDMA have the same pharmacological properties, their subjective effects are not completely identical. For instance, eutylone has the same effect as MDMA, but with a weaker one.
Effects of Euthylone include stimulation, enhanced libido, and increased appetite suppression. It is also known to have more classic stimulant effects.
Chemistry
Eutylone is a synthetic component of the cathinone family. It is a phenethylamine with a phenyl ring bound to an amino acid. It is a class of cyclic phenethylamines that can be commonly used as an alternative to amphetamines. They differ from each other in that they have a carbonyl group.
As a designer drug, this substance is commonly sold as ethylone or methylone. It is a substitute for the active substance nep and methylone.
Pharmacology
Eutylone is a reuptake inhibitor that works by blocking the release of norepinephrine, serotonin, and dopamine in the brain. These chemicals are the neurotransmitters that control pleasure and reward. This procedure works by preventing the reuptake and resorption of neurotransmitters after they have been used to transmit an impulse. Compared to methylone, eutylone has a lower affinity for norepinephrine. It has also a higher affinity for the serotonin transporters. These differences in pharmacology indicate that eutylone is a more potent releaser than methylone.
The toxicological and physiological properties of this compound has not been analyzed. Usage of this Chemical should be for research and forensic purposes only.
