N-Methyl-N-Isopropyltryptamine, MiPT
MiPT is a substance that can be commonly used as a tryptamine. It is a structurally related substance to tryptamines that can produce psychedelic effects. Although it has the same effects as DMT and MET, it is also known to have milder effects.
In his book TiHKAL, Alexander Shulgin discussed the molecular composition of MiPT and its effects. He noted that it lacks certain visual phenomena like hallucinations and blurred objects.
Due to its unusual properties, MiPT has remained relatively uncommon. However, due to its availability as a research chemical, little is known about its pharmacological properties.
Chemistry
N-methyl-N-isopropyltryptamine is a synthetic indole molecule that is part of the tryptamine class. Its core structure is similar to that of DMT, which has a bicyclic indole heterocycle and an ethyl side chain.
Pharmacology
Like most tryptamines, MiPT is known to act on the 5-HT2A receptor. The psychedelic effects it produces are believed to be caused by its binding efficacy.
Not much is known about the pharmacological and toxicological properties of MiPT. Usage of this Chemical should be for research and forensic purposes only.
