A derivative of the hallucinogenic drug 2C-B, which is commonly used as a designer drug, is known as 25B-NBOH. It has a strong serotonin receptor agonist effect and is similar to the drug 25B-NBOme.
This substance, also known as 2C-NBOH and NBOH-2C-B, is a novel synthetic phenethylamine that produces a wide range of stimulating and visually-dominant psychedelic effects. It is a derivative of the 25B-NBOMe class. Although it shares most of its properties, it has a shorter duration and a moderate reduced potency.
The substance, which is also referred to as 25B-NBOH, was first synthesized in 2011 by Martin Hansen of the University of Copenhagen.
NBOH compounds are not considered to be active and should only be taken as a liquid form. To effectively use this substance, one should place it into their mouth and allow it to absorb into their bodies for around 15 to 25 minutes.
Due to the lack of information about its pharmacological properties and metabolism, it is considered a dangerous drug. It is similar to the 25x-NBOMe series, which has been linked to various deaths and hospitalizations. Some users report experiencing difficulty in using this substance due to its unpredictable effects.
Chemistry
2C-B-NBOH or 25B-NBOH is a derivative of the phenethylamine known as 2C-B. It is a serotonin-producing N-benzyl derivative of this drug. This drug is produced by attaching the methoxy groups CH3O to the carbons R2, R5, and R4. It is structurally different from 2C-B. The main difference is that 25B-NBOH is a derivative of the amine NH2 with a 2-hydroxybenzyl group. This drug is produced by a substitution of this chemical with another 2-hydroxybenzyl compound.
Pharmacology
25B-NBOH is a potent agonist of the 5-HT2A receptor. It is also very selective when it comes to the treatment of various serotonin receptors. This compound is also unique because it has a high selectivity for these receptors. It has a pKi of 0.061 nM, which is similar to the compound 25B-NBOMe.
