A derivative of the hallucinogen 2C-C, which is commonly used as a designer drug, is known as 25-C-NBOH. It has similar properties to the serotonin receptor agonist 25C-NBOMe.
Phenethylamines are known to produce a wide variety of stimulating and visually-dominant effects when administered. This substance, also called 25C-NBOH, is a novel synthetic psychedelic that is closely related to the 25B-NBOMe class. It exhibits a shorter duration and a slightly reduced potency.
This substance, which is a derivative of the 2C-C-phenethylamine, was first synthesized in 2011. Martin Hansen, a molecular biologist at the University of Copenhagen, discovered it in 2011.
NBOH compounds are not considered to be active and should only be administered under the supervision of a health professional. For optimal absorption, one should hold the substance in their mouth for around 15 to 25 minutes.
Currently, there is not a lot of information about the effects of 25C-NBOH on humans. It was only sold as a designer drug online in 2011. It’s related to the 25x-NBOMe series and has been associated with various hospitalizations and deaths. Some users have reported experiencing unpredictable and highly sensitive effects.
Chemistry
Phenethylamine 2C-C is a derivative of the phenethylamine known as 25C-NBOH. It is a serotoninergic N-benzyl derivative that is produced by attaching the methyl groups CH3O to carbons R2, R5, and R4. 2C-NBOH is structurally different from 2C-C due to the substitution of NH2 with a 2-hydroxybenzyl group. 25C-NBOH is a part of the NBOH family, which also includes other chemicals that are hydroxy ethers bound to a benzene ring.
Pharmacology
This compound is unique in its ability to selectively affect various serotonin receptors. It is also known to be very selective for the 5-HT2A receptor.
It is known to be effective at the 5-HT2A receptor. It has an effective pKis value of 9.4 and 7.8. This compound is similar to the other known serotonin receptor agonists, such as 25C-NBOMe.
The toxicological and physiological properties of this compound has not been analyzed. Usage of this Chemical should be for research and forensic purposes only.
