2C-B-FLY
2C-B-FLY is a novel psychedelic substance that can produce various effects when ingested. Reports indicate that it can have features of the phenethylamine and the mescaline classes. Its effects can last for up to 8 hours.
It’s a derivative of the 2 C-x family of psychedelic substances. It was first synthesized in 1996 by Aaron Monte. Its various effects are different from those of 2C-B.
In 2005, 2C-B-FLY started to gain popularity in the online market. However, in October 2009, it started to disappear after it was mistakenly labeled as 2C-B-FLY when it was produced with the wrong batch of Bromo-DragonFLY. Due to the mistake, two individuals died as a result of taking overdoses of this substance, which was intended to be effective doses of 2C-B-FLY. The drug then disappeared until it reappeared in 2016.
Due to the lack of data regarding the properties and metabolism of 2C-B-FLY, it has been difficult to determine its human usage. It’s also not known if this substance has been sold on the streets.
Despite its high potency, 2C-B-FLY shouldn’t be considered a replacement for 2C-B. Instead, it should be approached with caution and used in moderation. This drug should be used with the proper amount of caution and harm reduction measures.
Ann Shulgin, in a 2007 interview, stated that 2C-B-FLY was one of her favorites of psychedelic substances. She also noted that the high variability in its responses was a bit surprising.
Chemistry
2C-FLY is a substituted version of phenethylamine and d-hydrobenzofuran. It features a phenyl ring that is bound to an amino acid group, and it has a bromine atom attached to it.
Phenethylamine is an atypical psychedelic compound that features a phenethylamine ring that is bound to a group of methoxy groups. It is also dihydrofuran analog to 2C-B, and it combines these groups into a 5-member ring.
2C-FLY is a member of the FLY compounds, which are phenethylamine derivatives that have the appearance of insects. The two tetrahydrofuran rings of this compound are fused together on the opposite side of a benzene ring. The addition of these two groups into the 5 rings helps improve the binding properties of these compounds to the receptors that they interact with.
Pharmacology
2C-B-FLY is a phenethylamine that is commonly used as a partial agonist of the 5-HT2A receptor. Although it is believed that this drug’s psychedelic effects come from its interactions with the receptor, the exact mechanisms by which this effect is produced are still understudied.
The toxicological and physiological properties of this compound has not been analyzed. Usage of this Chemical should be for research and forensic purposes only.
