4-Acetoxy-MiPT, 4-acetoxy-N-methyl-N-isopropyltryptamine, Mipracetin
Mipracetin is a type of psychedelic tryptamine that is closely related to the drugs O-acetylpsilocin and MiPT. There is currently not a lot of information about the human side effects of 4-AcO-MiPT.
The acetylated form of 4-HO-MiPT, also known as miprocin, is a higher homolog of the drugs 4-HO-DMT, 4-HO-MET, and 4-HO-DET. It is believed that these substances can act as prodrugs for their hydroxylated counterparts. However, there is still a debate about whether or not these substances have an innate activity.
It is commonly used as an entheogenic substance or recreationally. This drug has a relatively low history of human usage. It is acquired through the use of online chemical vendors.
Chemistry
Tryptamines are a class of indole alkaloid molecules. 4-AcO-MiPT is a synthetic version of the tryptamine that shares a core structure that consists of a bicylic indole heterocycle and an ethyl side chain. It is substituted for R4 by the acetoxy group CH3COO. This mixture also contains methyl and isopropyl chains.
A derivative of the tryptamine, 4-AcO-MiPT, is a methisopropyl analog of the same compound. It is an acetate-based analogue of MiPT.
Pharmacology
Like most psychedelic drugs, 4-AcO-MiPT is believed to act as a partial agonist of 5-HT2A. The mechanism by which this drug can trigger the psychedelic effects is still not clear. However, it is widely believed that these effects are caused by the interactions between the drug and the 5-HT2A receptors.
The toxicological and physiological properties of this compound has not been analyzed. Usage of this Chemical should be for research and forensic purposes only.
